Zumba is a high-energy cardio fitness class done to Latin music. If this is your first time or you have done Zumba before, this is a fun and friendly way to get fit. The class will be $70 for a full 14 weeks, or $6 per class drop-in fee (all fees to be paid directly to the instructor). PLEASE NOTE CLASS WILL NOT BE HELD ON Nov. 5. Please consult your physician before beginning any health regime.

These classes are for the beginner or anyone looking to develop a strong and safe practice. Proper alignment, breath awareness, posture and relaxation are taught. Something new is introduced every week. The class will be $6 per class on a drop-in basis. Discounts are available for multiple class purchases. Formed in 2007, The Classic Winds are a group of diverse women with one common goal – a passion for finding joy in music. The woodwind quintet is comprised of women from Rochester, Michigan who share a love of performance. The ensemble performs a variety of musical styles, from classical to popular hits, with an emphasis on original music for woodwind quintet. The Classic Winds are also members of the Birmingham Musicale and are a part of their concert season.
Baking Baklava Class
Monday Dec. 9, 7:00-8:30 pm
Learn how to make delicious homemade Baklava for all your holiday gatherings. Patty and Taylor Salter will demonstrate step by step how to put together and bake this delicious international dessert. At the end of the demonstration we will test taste this tasty treat!
We also encourage you to bring all the ingredients to the demo in order to prepare a pan during the lesson:
1 9x11 baking pan – either metal or glass
1 9x11 piece of aluminum foil
1 9x11 dish towel
1 pastry brush
1 large spoon
1 microwave safe bowl for melting butter
1 lb. of softened butter for melting
1 bottle of honey
Mix together and bring in a baggie or bowl – 1 lb. walnuts chopped fine & 1 cup of sugar & 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 package of defrosted, but still cold, phyllo dough.
Participants will prepare their baklava to bring home to bake for their family’s enjoyment. Feel free to participate or simply watch us whip up a batch of baklava. Recipe and detailed instruction will be provided at class.

Apocalypse Warhammer 40K Battle Fundraiser
