Director

Paula Gauthier, Library Director

Paula Gauthier began her career at the library in 2001 as the Head of Adult, Reference and Teen Services. She became the library's deputy director in 2004 and was promoted to director two years later, in August of 2006.

A native Michigander, Paula is pleased to be leading the library that serves the Brandon community. She is intrigued by the future of public libraries in a rapidly changing world and actively engages in activities that consider and respond to such change. She is an active member of the American Library Association, the Public Library Association and the Michigan Library Association, as well as, local organizations such as Brandon Groveland Youth Assistance and the Downtown Development Authority.

Her background also includes experience as a Branch Manager with the Kent District Library in Kent County, Michigan, and media specialist with both the Grand Rapids and Atherton Public Schools. She received her bachelor's degree from Grand Valley State University and her master's degree in library science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
